Safety & Security
The use of safety and security systems and devices is on the rise. For security and operational management activities,
these systems and devices may include video cameras and systems, motion sensors, CBRN and other threat detection sensors,
access control systems, fire alarm systems, HVAC systems, employee databases, notification systems, and other assets.
Increasingly, homeland security agencies, local emergency responders, and private-sector security personnel have deployed
these systems for public safety, law enforcement, and critical infrastructure protection. Similarly, military and defense
agencies have used these tools to bolster intelligence, surveillance, and reconnaissance capabilities on the battlefield
and at military installations.
The challenge for these agencies is the intelligent convergence of data from the various sensing devices and systems –
convergence that can power truly dynamic and effective safety and security operations. Augusta Systems products and
services have enabled clients to overcome this challenge by creating intelligent, converged networks, systems and
applications for safety and security deployments in such varied settings as local emergency response, national border
security, military surveillance, school campus security, and health industry security. See below for examples of our
efforts.
